Layout frames can be linked to rubric columns. In this case, Hubert system allows user to select records to rubrics by placing them (or photos linked to them) on the layout. This operation can be done in detailed view of the Issue Manager or in Edward. During this operation, Hubert system uses the following logic, depending on the rubric type.

Manual rubrics & Assisted rubrics

• Record is added to the rubric
• Record’s sort in the rubric is set to the sort of the target frame
• Record’s layout type is set to the layout type of the target frame
• If there was a record in the frame before:
  • Its sort is reset (nullified)
  • Its layout type is not changed

Content rubrics

• Record is added to the rubric
• Record sort is set to the id of the record
• Record layout type is set to the layout type of the frame
• Frame sort is set to the id of the record
• If there was a record in the frame befone:
  • Its sort is unchanged
  • Its layout type is unchanged

Auto-assigned rubrics

• Record is added to the rubric
• Record sort is automatically calculated using the auto-assignment rules
• Record layout type is set to the layout type of the frame
• If there was a record in the frame befone it is removed from the rubric
